ISO 27001:2015 juga merupakan produk dari International Standarization Organization untuk Sistem Manajemen Keamanan informasi dan dokumentasi rahasia perusahaan, dengan menerapkan tiga prinsip utama yang harus dipenuhi yaitu:

1. Identifikasi bahaya dan resiko keamanan informasi dokumen

2. Pemenuhan persyaratan legal dan peraturan perundang-undangan yang ada

3. Pencegahan terjadinya pencurian dan kebocoran kerahasiaan dokumen.

Manfaat tata kelola Keamanan Informasi ISO 27001 untuk organsiasi atau instansi/lembaga

yaitu:

a. Mampu menerapkan tata kelola keamanan informasi secara efektif, efisien, dan konsisten

dengan pendekatan berbasis risiko.

b. Mampu melakukan penilaian mandiri (self-assessment) secara berkala melalui

mekanisme audit internal

c. Mampu menyusun sistem dokumentasi minimum yang diperlukan untuk menerapkan tata

kelola keamanan informasi

d. Membantu memberikan pemahaman pentingnya keamanan informasi pada karyawan,

stakeholder dan masyarakat umum,
